Here’s the perfect appetizer for your next weekend gathering! Delicious White Bean Spread with roasted garlic & rosemary, made with just a few ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen.

This week I was looking for a new spread, something similar to hummus yet a tad more sophisticated, without the need for fancy produce. Here’s an appetizer that can go as a snack or spread that you can take anywhere; to parties, a beach/pool day, road trips, picnics, or well, just for yourself.
Thanks to my grandmother’s garden, I can make so many dishes infused with different herbs! Also, I saved myself a trip to the grocery store by keeping it simple and basic. I’d had this recipe in my head for days and knew the ingredients would work really well together. The base: white beans. The herb: rosemary. The key ingredient: roasted garlic. And the one keeping it together: olive oil. The best part? You’re most likely to have these ingredients in your pantry!
I love garlic in any form! And I’m also a strong believer that there’s no such thing as “too much garlic”. But by roasting the garlic you can take away that strong and bitter taste that people often dislike. There are two ways you can do this step: in the air fryer or in the oven. I prefer to do this step in the air fryer as it’s quicker and less of a hassle.
How to: When the garlic was perfectly roasted, I threw everything in the food processor. After 5 minutes, my spread was done and served it with homemade tostadas.
Recipe: Roasted Garlic & Rosemary White Bean Spread
Ingredients:
- 1 can of cannellini beans
- 1 head of garlic
- 2 tbsp olive oil, + extra for drizzling
- Fresh rosemary, + extra for garnish
- Salt & pepper to taste
Procedure:
- Roasted GarlicAir-fryer Method: Trim the top of the garlic head, place in a piece of foil, drizzle it with olive oil, and roast in a 400˚F for 10 minutes.
-
- Oven Method: Trim the top of the garlic head, drizzle it with olive oil, and roast in a 400˚F oven for 30 minutes.
- When the garlic is done, let it cool to touch. Then squeeze out the garlic cloves out of their skin.
- Add all of the ingredients to a food processor, and blend until everything is smooth.
- Add to a bowl, drizzle some olive oil, and garnish with chopped fresh rosemary.
- Serve with warm tostadas or chips, & enjoy!
