Pinterest as a Tool for Eating Better

by Karla

Hi everyone! Quick Blog Post Today: Can you use Pinterest for health?

1

Believe it or not, Pinterest is a Social Media platform. And while Social Media has been demonized as a dark and negative place, I believe that these platforms can be used for our advantage. You have the liberty to choose (yes, choose!) what you see every day. Especially when it comes to health.

Here’s a couple of ways you can use Pinterest as a tool for eating better:

Visual Information

Infographics are a great way to receive visual information, quickly & digested. They can serve as a guide to veganism, healthy ingredients, and lifestyle. Check out my lifestyle board.

Tips

Want to try something new? In general, Pinterest is a great place to collect all sorts of information & tips for your new projects; DIYs, lifestyle tips, education & future projects. Here’s my general veganism board.

Collecting Inspiration

Even though I develop my own recipes, it’s nice to have a bunch of recipes for future occasions; for the days that you just don’t know what to make. It can also be used to find new recipes to veganize. For years Pinterest has helped me organize my meal planning; you can do it too!

Organizing Healthy Habits

You’ve been trying to cultivate new, healthy habits, but have been struggling to keep up. Pinterest boards are a great way to organize and keep track of the habits that you want to engage in.

Good thought process and well written. I like the Whole30 approach to eating and my husband and stepson are vegan,, and my other 4 kids like comfort foods. Pinterest is my go-to to figure out recipes we’ll all like!
