The most amazing Vegan Dark Chocolate Tart recipe that I’ve ever tried. It’s incredibly easy to prep, made with healthier ingredients that give this recipe an ultra-decadent taste.
Vegan | Gluten-free | Soy-free | SOS friendly
Meet…the dark chocolate dessert of your dreams.
I’ve made countless rich, decadent, creamy, dreamy chocolatey desserts over the years, but I’ve gotta say this one swooped me off my feet. This luscious No-Bake Dark Chocolate Tart is the ultimate vegan indulgence, with easy to find ingredients. Nobody will ever guess that it is completely dairy-free!
Bonus? It also happens to be naturally gluten-free, thanks to a simple chocolate-date-walnut crust, and it’s no-bake. It’s the perfect dessert for a dinner party, or for you know… anytime you need a chocolate fix. If you’re like me, this might be everyday ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is an already impressive-tasting tart on its own, but you can upgrade it by adding garnishes on top like berries, chocolate shavings, salt flakes, coconut, cacao powder, and/or chopped toasted nuts in the bottom.
Recipe: Dark Chocolate Tart
Ingredients:
Crust
Crispy Crust:
- 8-10 pitted dates
- 1 ½ cups walnuts
- ¼ cup cacao powder
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- Pinch of salt
Soft Crust:
- 8-10 pitted dates
- 1 ½ cups walnuts
- ⅔ cup of dark chocolate (I used 70% Lily’s), melted
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- Pinch of salt
Filling
- 1 ½ cups coconut cream, unsweetened
- 1 bar of dark chocolate (I used 70% Lily’s)
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- 10-15 pitted dates
- Pinch of cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
Procedure:
- For the crust: simply add all the ingredients together in a food processor and blend until crumbly and sticky. Note: Always soak the dates in warm water for a couple of minutes before adding them to the food processor.
- When ready, press mixture evenly into the bottom and sides of a 9” pan or tart tin, and place in the fridge to set.
- For the filling: Heat coconut cream, chocolate and coconut oil until melted, set aside. When the mixture has cooled down, add to food processor along with the dates, cinnamon & vanilla. Process until everything is combined and completely smooth.
- Pour the filling into crust, and place in the fridge or freezer for about 2 hours before serving.
- Serve with berries, coconut whipped cream or even more chocolate, and ENJOY!

This sounds so delicious! I do love dates and chocolate together! I can’t wait to try 🙂
Oh my. This looks amazing. My favorite kind of dessert with chocolate, with strawberry and no-bake of course.
