A shimmering purple Full Moon Martini that glows under the light; the perfect potion for your next Halloween party.

Vegan | Gluten-free | Soy-free

Halloween cocktails are my favorite way to play with a bit of mystery and magic in the kitchen. While most people think of spooky snacks or pumpkin desserts, I love crafting drinks that capture the eerie charm of the season. This Full Moon Martini feels like a potion straight from a witch’s cauldron, glimmering in shades of violet and gold under dim light.

Even though this recipe is perfect for Halloween night, it’s light and refreshing enough to enjoy during warmer weather too. The floral notes of St. Germain, the deep hue of Crème de Violette, and a touch of lemon make it a balanced cocktail that’s both enchanting and easy to sip. Whether you’re hosting a Halloween dinner, a costume party, or just want a drink that feels like a little spell in a glass, this one delivers the spooky vibes needed.

The making of: Full Moon Martini

To create this Full Moon Martini, I start by shaking together St. Germain, Crème de Violette, and lemon juice with ice until perfectly chilled. The combination creates a delicate floral flavor that feels luxurious without being overly sweet. The key to this drink’s hunting look is the green-gold luster dust, which turns the cocktail into a sparkling purple potion that shimmers like a full moon night.

Once strained into a glass, I add a large ice ball to mimic a glowing full moon and finish it off with a dehydrated lemon slice for a touch of rustic charm. The result is a Full Moon Martini that’s elegant, mystical, and surprisingly simple to make. It’s the kind of drink that becomes the star of the night, especially when the light catches that swirl of gold just right!

Serves: 2 Prep Time: Nutrition facts: 200 calories 20 grams fat

Ingredients

  • 3 oz Crème de Violette
  • 2 oz St. Germain (elderflower liqueur)
  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • ½ tsp green-gold luster dust (or more to preference)
  • Ice cubes, for shaking
  • Garnish: 1 large ice balls
  • Garnish: Dehydrated lemon slices

Procedure

  1. Add Crème de Violette, St. Germain, and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until chilled.
  2. Sprinkle in the green-gold luster dust, then shake again briefly to combine and create that mesmerizing shimmer.
  3. To serve, strain into two chilled coupe or martini glasses.
  4. Drop a large ice ball into each glass and top with a dehydrated lemon slice. Watch it glow under the light before taking your first sip. ENJOY!

Notes

Mocktail version: Replace the alcohol with 3 oz of elderflower syrup and 3 oz of purple grape juice or butterfly pea tea. Add lemon juice and luster dust as directed. For a stronger drink: Reduce the lemon juice slightly or add ½ oz of gin to balance the floral notes. Make-ahead tip: You can premix the cocktail (without ice or luster dust) up to one day ahead. Add luster dust and shake just before serving for the best sparkle effect.

Crystal Lake Martini, a vibrant eerie elixir with a lake-greenish hue that’s as chilling as the Friday the 13th movie itself!

As autumn rolls in and the spooky season approaches, there’s no better time to revisit the classic horror films that shaped generations of fright fans. One of the most iconic among them is Friday the 13th—a film that introduced us to the eerie atmosphere of Crystal Lake and the horrors lurking beneath its still waters.

In honor of this iconic slasher flick, I’ve concocted a cocktail as chilling as the movie itself—the Crystal Lake Martini. This eerie elixir combines the fruity notes of Hendrick’s Grand Cabaret Gin, the vibrant sweetness of melon schnapps, and a zesty kick of lemon juice. It’s the perfect drink to sip on while watching Friday the 13th marathons, whether you’re settling in for a quiet night or hosting a fright night with friends.

Let’s dive into the deep, dark waters of this hauntingly delicious martini.

Crystal Lake Martini

The Crystal Lake Martini is a cocktail that balances the spooky with the sophisticated. Hendrick’s Grand Cabaret Gin adds a fruity complexity, while the melon schnapps lends an otherworldly sweetness—much like the eerie, foggy atmosphere around the lake. Lemon juice brightens things up with a tangy edge, echoing the tension that builds throughout the movie.

Whether you’re a horror movie buff or just looking for a unique cocktail with a story behind it, the Crystal Lake Martini is bound to impress. As you sip, the refreshing flavors will keep you grounded—while the chilling inspiration will keep you looking over your shoulder.

Just remember: whatever you do, don’t go near the water…

The Pig’s Blood Spritz is a fun and eerie twist on the classic Aperol spritz, with a red hue reminiscent of that unforgettable scene in Stephen King’s Carrie. Mocktail option available in the recipe notes.

When it comes to classic horror films, few scenes are as iconic as the moment in Carrie when a bucket of pig’s blood dramatically cascades down, turning a prom night dream into a nightmare. In the spirit of spooky season and this unforgettable moment, I’ve crafted a cocktail that’s bold, vibrant, and delicious—perfect for Halloween parties or horror movie marathons. Introducing the Pig’s Blood Spritz, a drink inspired by Stephen King’s Carrie, but don’t worry—it’s far more delicious than its name implies.

Of course, no actual pigs were harmed in the making of this recipe, we’re keeping it pg-vegan. This cocktail mixes the bitter-sweet charm of Aperol with the tartness of cranberry juice, topped off with the effervescence of prosecco and soda water. It’s garnished with a slice of orange and fresh mint, making it both refreshing and visually striking—a perfect balance between sinister and sophisticated.

Pig’s Blood Spritz (Carrie Cocktail)

The Pig’s Blood Spritz is a fun and eerie twist on the classic Aperol spritz, with a red hue reminiscent of that unforgettable scene in Carrie. Aperol brings its signature bitter-orange flavor, which is beautifully balanced by the tart cranberry juice. Prosecco and soda water lighten the drink, making it bubbly and refreshing—a party pleaser with just a hint of drama.

So, the next time you’re planning a spooky celebration or simply want a cocktail with a bit of edge, mix up a Pig’s Blood Spritz. Just remember to watch your back—there’s no telling when things might take a turn for the scary!

If you’re a fan of Children of the Corn, this Kettle Corn Killer cocktail blends the sweet nostalgia of kettle corn with a citrusy twist!

If you’re a fan of Stephen King’s chilling tales, and Children of the Corn still sends a shiver down your spine, then this cocktail is right up your alley! Inspired by the eerie atmosphere and unsettling suspense of the Children of the Corn franchise, the Kettle Corn Killer blends the sweet nostalgia of kettle corn with a zesty citrus twist. It’s a hauntingly delicious combination, much like wandering through endless rows of corn stalks, never knowing what’s lurking behind the next corner. But fear not—this cocktail will only haunt your taste buds in the best way possible.

The Children of the Corn franchise is known for its sinister small-town setting, eerie tension, and unexpected shocks. Likewise, this cocktail delivers a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and refreshing flavors. The buttery, smooth kettle corn-infused gin is complemented by the tangy brightness of fresh orange juice and a delicate floral touch of orange blossom water. Garnished with an orange slice and popcorn, it’s the perfect drink to enjoy during a horror movie marathon or a harvest-themed party with a dark twist.

Kettle Corn Killer

Much like the unsettling surprises that await in the cornfields, this cocktail holds its own secrets. At first, kettle corn and gin might seem like an odd pairing, but once you take that first sip, you’ll realize they work together.

The Kettle Corn Killer offers a surprisingly balanced flavor profile. The gin, infused with buttery kettle corn, brings a smooth and slightly sweet depth to the cocktail. The fresh orange juice adds brightness and tang, while the orange blossom water offers a subtle floral hint, elevating the entire drink. The playful garnish adds a nod to both the terrifying rural setting and the movie theater snacks that keep us company during our favorite horror films.

So, the next time you’re bracing yourself for a scary movie marathon or hosting a spooky fall gathering, serve up a Kettle Corn Killer and let the creepy vibes begin.

This Blackberry Splash (Mocktail) is delicious and refreshing, perfect for summertime.

Vegan | Gluten-free | Soy-free

This Blackberry Splash mocktail recipe could not be more straightforward.

For this recipe, I’m using Ritual Rum Alternative with all the warm vanilla, toasted spice, and velvety decadence of dark rum, without the alcohol or calories. Perfect for non-alcoholic classics like mojitos and mai tais, or, in this case, a Blackberry Splash.

First, you muddle the blackberries with some fresh rosemary. Then mix the rest of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker, and serve over ice with a slice of lemon. Enjoy!

How does that sound for an easy mocktail recipe?

Just because a mocktail is non-alcoholic doesn’t mean it has to be boring! Thanks to Ritual Zero Proof now I can enjoy the experience of cocktails without the side effects of alcohol. They provide alternatives for Tequila, Rum, Whiskey, and Gin, all with natural ingredients and no allergens. But today we’re focusing on their Tequila Alternative.
So, whether you’re 100% sober or just want to reduce your alcohol intake like me, know that Ritual is an excellent alternative. If you want to #EnjoyTheRitual, you can use my link and my code VEGGIEJEVA, you get 10% off your purchase.

This Orange Mexican Mule (Mocktail) is a tequila alternative-based spin on the classic Moscow Mule.

Let’s give the Moscow Mule a tangy twist with a tequila alternative and fresh orange juice in this Orange Mexican Mule (Mocktail). Traditionally a Moscow Mule consists of vodka, lemon juice, and ginger beer, but a Mexican Mule swaps the vodka for tequila, and I decided to add an extra twist by swapping the lemon juice for orange.

Just because a mocktail is non-alcoholic doesn’t mean it has to be boring! Thanks to Ritual Zero Proof now I can enjoy the experience of cocktails without the side effects of alcohol. The Ritual Tequila Alternative has the grassy flavor, smoky aroma, and fire of tequila; designed for non-alcoholic classics like Margaritas and Palomas. In this case, it has proven to be perfect for this Orange Mexican Mule!

Looking for a creepy Halloween cocktail? I’m giving the classic margarita an eerie upgrade for my favorite holiday!

Originated in Mexico, the Margarita is one of the most famous cocktails in the world. With its base, many other variations have been made, such as the one I have for you today: Poisoned Forrest- Blackberry Margarita. I am in no way, shape or form a bartender, but I decided to give this cocktail a go anyways, and it ended up being unlike any other drink that I’ve tasted. This is clearly a different mix than the classics; some might even call it a margarita-mule!

As the name itself says, this cocktail has blackberries, hence the characteristic color it has. However, it also has rosemary, orange juice, and ginger beer, giving it a very distinctive and original flavor. If you want to surprise your family and friends with a different drink this Halloween, make sure the Poisoned Forrest- Blackberry Margarita is on your list.

Notes:

  • For an alcohol-free version (mocktail), leave the tequila and add another bottle of ginger beer.
  • Alternatively to rosemary, you can use mint or sage.

We cannot deny that magic world potions = muggle cocktails. Without the need for a magic wand from Ollivanders, here’s VeggieJeva’s take on the Harry Potter Felix Felicis Potion.

VeggieJeva- Felix Felicis

Even though J.K. Rowling is not the worlds favorite author right now, I refuse to let her horrifying opinions & personality ruin Harry Potter for me.

One of the most magical things about Harry Potter is how incredible the food and drinks sound. Without a doubt, the magic world is a gastronomic paradise, and it’s no secret that the closest thing us muggles will ever get to potions are cocktails. I guess that will have to do… for now.

VeggieJeva- Felix Felicis

This year’s Harry Potter Cocktail is my favorite potion: Felix Felicis✨. Whoever drinks it will be lucky and very confident for some time. This was demonstrated by Ron Wesley when he ingested a small dose that increased his self-esteem for an upcoming Quiddich game.

So, without the need for a magic wand from Ollivanders, here is my take on the Harry Potter Felix Felicis cocktail that will teleport you home to Hogshead Pub.

To enjoy these perks, you only need: simple syrup, lemon juice, ginger beer, and a little bit of prosecco.

VeggieJeva- Vegan Hazelnut Mocha

I know it’s still September and Halloween isn’t here yet, but my coffee mug says otherwise.

Y’all know by now that I love chocolate & coffee. Back when I thought that Starbucks was the best coffee in the world [I WAS 16, OKAY?! (please tell me that I’m not the only one who went through that phase)], mocha was my go-to coffee order; hot, iced or frapped.

Those days are long gone. Today my go-to is usually a cortadito, mostly because it’s stronger, and traditional mocha syrups have dairy in it (yuck!). So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and make my own mocha recipe, but with a hazelnut twist; Vegan Hazelnut Mocha.

What is mocha?

Mocha (or mochaccino) is a type of coffee that consists of  ⅓ espresso and ⅔ milk together with some chocolate syrup, melted chocolate, or chocolate powder. Although, I did my best to make it as accurate as possible; I do like my coffee quite strong, so I might’ve sneaked an extra shot of espresso in there.

Where did Mocha come from?

This type of coffee originated in the coastal city Red Sea of Mocha in Yemen. Its original name is in Arabic Al-Mukhā, however, after many translations, today is known as Mocha, Mochaccino, Mocca, and Moka (and many other variations).

Another reason for the name is that the type of coffee grain proceeding from the city has characteristics similar to the cacao seed.

How to make Vegan Hazelnut Mocha:

The only equipment you’ll need to make the Vegan Hazelnut Mocha is a stovetop espresso maker or an espresso machine. If you want the milk to be frothy, then you’ll need an espresso machine with a vaporizer valve, or a hand mixer or immersion blender.

And besides the usual coffee grounds (or beans + grinder) and plant-based milk of choice, you’ll need vegan dark (70-85%) or semi-sweet chocolate.

Disclaimer: For this Vegan Hazelnut Mocha, I used Four Sigmatic’s Lion’s Mane Coffee which I love, Lily’s Chocolate, and Elmhurst Hemp Seed Hazelnut Creamer (gifted). This is a non-sponsored post, but if you decide to purchase Four Sigmatic’s coffee through one of my links, I may make a small commission at no extra cost to you. Notes:

  • I’m definitely no coffee expert, so I used the coffee grounds that I have been obsessed with lately. Feel free to use any coffee grounds or beans that you have on hand.
  • If you don’t have vegan creamer on hand, you can totally use regular plant-based milk. If you want the milk to be frothy, I highly recommend using a barista blend vegan milk or plant-based milk with a high-fat content (coconut, cashews, macadamia, etc.).
  • I personally don’t have a professional espresso machine with a vaporizer wand. What I did was, first warm up the milk on the stove and then froth it with the immersion blender.

Make the Raw Brownies Recipe

Notes:

  • This is an extremely versatile recipe, so feel free to play around with the ingredients; add 1 ½ bananas instead of two, add only one brownie or 1 ½, etc.
  • I know this is a milkshake recipe, but you can still use either water or coconut water if you wish.
  • Feeling extra saucy? Add 4-5 cherries to this recipe before blending & take it to a whole new level.
